This role reports to the Director of Enterprise Audio Visual.Position SummaryThe function of the Audio Visual Specialist is to provide setup and operation of small to large-scale audiovisual system configurations in a fast-paced conferencing center environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Director of Enterprise Audio Visual and works directly with hospitality and other client services. The position requires the ability to work alternate schedules for special events including, but not limited to, irregular hours and on-call support during evenings, weekends and holidays.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinates audio/video calls with vendors, other offices and clientsOperates and supports audiovisual systemsConsults on, analyzes and configures the proper audiovisual components required for each eventManages, maintains and troubleshoots audiovisual equipment and componentsAttends meetings to discuss events and establishes audiovisual needsDocuments and maintains audiovisual requirements per eventPerforms proficient, accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipmentTracks client support requests and system failuresEscalates complex issues to advance support service teams and vendorsCreates, edits and maintains training materials regarding common operations and support issuesEdits video recordingsQualificationsSkills & CompetenciesAttention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high pressure, deadline-oriented environment in order to achieve business goals and objectivesAbility to establish and maintain productive working relationships with all levels of staff, including attorneys, peers and other departmentsExcellent customer service skills and strives to exceed client expectationsStrong communication skills, including the use of active listening and the ability to convey information clearly in both written and verbal communicationAbility to resolve moderately complex issues or suggest alternative solutionsEducation & Prior ExperienceHigh School Diploma is required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred3+ years of audiovisual experience desiredQ-SYS Level 1 certification requiredQ-SYS Level 2 certification preferredExperience with customer service or hospitality experience preferredExperience in the following, but not limited to, is highly recommended:Audio/Digital audio/playback/record systemsVideo/Digital video/playback/record systemsVideo Wall Management & CalibrationVideo editing softwareAdvanced Lighting - Dimming and Lighting ControlsPower SpeakersChanneling of microphonesWireless, Handheld, Lavaliere MicrophonesPush to Talk Systems4 -24 Channel MixersSet up of broadcast camerasBasic Electrical and Power DistributionIP Addressing knowledgeSwitches and basic networking skillsWireless Networking/TroubleshootingStandard troubleshooting skills related to desktop computer hardware and softwareDanteShure products and softwareTechnologyProficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook requiredExtensive knowledge of Video Matrix systems and AV SwitchersGeneral knowledge of computer hardware, software support and Windows operating systemBasic understanding of networking devices, cabling and associated troubleshootingGT is an EEO employer with an inclusive workplace committed to merit-based consideration and review without regard to an individual’s race, sex, or other protected characteristics and to the principles of non-discrimination on any protected basis.
