Salon Business Consultant is a sales solution specialist role covering and growing a territory in and around Colorado Springs, CO. The ideal candidate will reside in or very near Colorado Springs, CO. Compensation includes uncapped commission, vehicle reimbursement, and full benefits.

Primary Duties

Identify key accounts within the territory and establish efficient routes to grow existing customers while seeking new partnerships.

Assist customers in developing, planning, implementing, monitoring, and tracking in‑salon promotions, programs, and concepts; determine needs and offer appropriate products and services.

Communicate sales initiatives and achieve corporate sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Respond to all email, text, and phone communications within 24 hours.

Analyze accounts to determine required brand support, education, and promotions for growth.

Call on customers in person to execute sales goals.

Process returns following established procedures, including pick‑up and documentation.

Collaborate with customer service, accounts receivable, IT, and other business functions.

Actively prospect for new customers through cold calling, social media, and other digital outlets.

Manage administrative tasks, including daily order entry and maintenance of customer information in Salesforce.com.

Utilize social media for communication, promotion, education, and product knowledge to attract and retain salon clientele.

Conduct effective in‑person and virtual product knowledge classes.

Communicate with the Manager regarding calls, visits, orders, sales progress, and follow‑up plans.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert on digital platforms and social media; share knowledge to enhance team capabilities.

Attend all meetings, functions, and events, including shows, booth setup and dismantling, and handling back stock.

Support new initiatives with a growth mindset and foster positive change management.

Demonstrate a desire to learn and grow, continually improving digital and social media techniques.

Attend business development days to increase product knowledge and vendor relationships.

Allocate and optimize time for learning and utilizing available tools.

Remain agile to market changes while building industry knowledge and intuition.

Actively work to increase personal product, industry, and market knowledge.

Create an organized work environment and workflow for efficient customer service.

Demonstrate SBH culture values and adhere to the company code of ethics and behavior.

Experience And Skills Required

High school diploma or equivalent certification.

Minimum of one year of outside sales experience or beauty industry experience with an emphasis on consultative selling.

Must live within the assigned territory.

Working knowledge of inventory control systems and visual merchandising strongly preferred.

Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms for building pipelines and business needs.

Excellent computer skills; experience with Salesforce.com, Outlook, PDF Expert, Oracle, and iPad a plus.

Ability to build an online community and create social connections.

Requires local travel within the territory, attendance at shows, conventions, and educational events, including possible overnight travel or weekend nights.

Ability to work safely in a constant state of alertness.

Frequent and sometimes prolonged periods of driving are necessary.

Committed to scheduled hours and flexibility for additional hours as business needs change.

Strong time‑management and organization skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Professional business image and positive public interaction.

Clear, effective communication skills, both oral and written, at all levels.
