To support a growing engineering team, the full-time Senior Underground Transmission Engineer will design underground transmission lines up to 500kV, manage project costs and design criteria, and oversee a small team of engineers and designers.
Key responsibilities
Design underground transmission lines, including duct bank layouts and cable selection studies
Conduct cost analyses and develop specifications for installation and procurement of transmission line materials
Coordinate with vendors and clients to specify components and ensure compliance with design codes and standards
Required qualifications
BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
Proficiency with CYMCAP modeling and cable tensioning calculations
5 or more years of experience in underground transmission projects
Experience with XLPE cable design and preparation of specifications
Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, EPRI Green Book, and IEEE
