About the Role

As Director of Digital Retail Transformation, you will be responsible for supporting the Director of Digital Retail Transformation to drive the multiyear strategic initiative to build enterprise Digital delivery capabilities, taking a customer first view and making Corebridge a modern digital company. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to structure, define, and implement multi‑track initiatives in alignment with identified business outcomes. As an integral member of the team, the AVP Digital Transformation will have the opportunity to work with leaders across the organization to define and deliver initiatives that will shape the future of the Life, Individual Retirement, and Retirement Services business. Five focus areas include:
Partner with Business Unit and Technology leaders to design the delivery journey in how we do business across Sales and Service.
Working with the Sr. Product Owners and Transformation team to transform strategic priorities into a set of implementation actions.
Ensure timely execution and drive changes if needed.
Assist with building the ‘Change management’ muscle within the organization to drive adoption of the innovative solutions and processes as they are built.
Working to create executive‑level communication materials articulating program status, planned activities, financial forecasts and progress towards value realization.
Lead and in‑directly manage a set of leaders who are product experts in each of the journeys to continue improving the journeys and associated solutions.
Responsibilities

Strong understanding of all Operational processes in a Life insurance industry with specific focus on Life, Annuity and Retirement services.
Experience developing strategies and/or in a strategy role in financial services organizations or working with leading consulting companies in their Operations practice.
Knowledge of how to build a business case and track impact of a change.
Working knowledge of: Latest Digital trends in and across various industries CX based process journey design.
Lean management practices in developing effective and efficient processes.
Root cause problem solving tools experience.
Experience leveraging data and analytics in developing new solutions across New Sales, Service and Claims.
Build an enterprise Change management capability to drive adoption of all transformation efforts.
Have built teams of strategic thinkers and subject matter experts in delivering Operations strategic design and implementation.
Have had experience in influencing stakeholders within organization and with third party partners with new ideas and solutions.
Skills and Qualifications

5+ years of related experience in Transformation and Strategy roles in a consulting space or an insurance organization with knowledge on latest Operations process and trends driving service and excellence.
Experience and understanding of technology and digital trends impacting operations; Track record of implementing a big advantage.
Experience with Customer Experience based process design and designing customer centric processes and journey mapping.
Experience with Change Management framework & practices; Track record of influencing cross‑functional leaders and adopting a framework.
Written and Verbal Communication: Ability to communicate in a structured and crisp manner especially with senior leaders i.e., Business unit Presidents, CIOs.
Strong Analytical Thinking & Problem Solver: Ability to breakdown complex issues into smaller addressable solutions; can take a strategic point of view in formulating actions and solutions.
Project Management: Structured, organized and can create actionable implementation plans and timelines; knows how to deliver on time and manage teams and stakeholders to deliver to the same.
Change Leader: Ability to influence and take stakeholders, partners, and team along in driving the change; knows how to communicate 'what' to avoid surprises or issues with all partners; a continuous improvement mindset.
Strong People Leader: Sets clear direction to the teams and actionable deliverables; data driven and manages via metrics; strong coach and people developer; ability to assess talent consistently and fairly.
Education

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
Certifications

PMP, Agile, or equivalent certifications are a plus.

The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. Corebridge also offers a range of competitive benefits as part of the total compensation package.

Work Location and Travel

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely. However, we are open to considering full remote candidates outside of the HUB location. Estimated Travel: Minimal Travel.
