What To Expect
Tesla is seeking an Audio/Acoustic Engineer within the Infotainment Team who has more than 5 years of design, test, and release responsibility for Acoustic, Loudspeaker, and Signal Processing products. This Engineer will have a strong understanding of loudspeaker application and design, and the ability to define and specify requirements for automotive acoustic products. The role also includes mentoring other engineers and thriving in a start‑up environment with growth and achievement opportunities.
What You'll Do
Product development of loudspeaker transducer products from inception to end of life
Knowledge of audio systems, relative vehicle environment, and integration
Work with cross‑functional teams to create the best possible integration of the product
Interpret, develop, and manage product drawings and specifications
Work with suppliers on design, development, and validation of audio products
Test audio systems and components
Plan, execute, interpret, and document product validation
Component and system level troubleshooting
What You'll Bring
Degree in Engineering with minimum 5 years of experience developing audio products from scratch or equivalent
Experience in audio products (acoustics and electronics)
Experience working with cross‑functional team‑members from multiple disciplines to reach fact‑based decisions
Technical and product management skills to communicate and drive suppliers
Strong problem‑solving skills and desire to work in a fast‑paced environment
Hands‑on experience designing and debugging products
Previous CAD exposure
Experience with environmental constraints (temperature, humidity, vibration), regulatory compliance and product debugging (EMC/EMI, ESD, transients, etc.)
Experience in analog and digital circuit analysis

Expected Compensation
$128,000 – $354,000 annual salary plus cash and stock awards, and benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Total compensation may include other position‑specific elements.
