Role Overview
As Regional Sales Manager – Belgium, you will serve as a player‑coach, providing dedicated leadership in Belgium for a team of 4 sales representatives and 1 educator. You will partner cross‑functionally with Market Access, Marketing, Medical, and Operations to drive Belgium growth, tender readiness, and execution excellence. Luxembourg falls within your scope via the team.
Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a Belgium‑based team to achieve business objectives, with a strong focus on hospital account performance and execution quality.
Act as Belgium representative on the Benelux Leadership Team (BLXLT), ensuring tight alignment between Belgium & Luxembourg execution and Benelux priorities, governance, and cadence.
Drive retention and growth of the installed base through structured, proactive account management, disciplined prioritisation, and a consistent field cadence (1:1s, work‑withs, team rhythm).
Plan Belgium business: segment and target the market, translate priorities into clear account/territory plans, and track progress via CRM and analytics to focus resources where they move the needle.
Coordinate tender readiness and execution: manage the tender response process and RACI, mobilise inputs (value story, evidence, documentation, pricing), and ensure disciplined post‑outcome execution at the account level.
Maintain a visible Belgium tender pipeline/tracker, run regular internal rhythm meetings to align stakeholders on status, risks, deadlines, and next steps.
Partner with internal stakeholders to address tender‑driven operational requirements (e.g., electronic invoicing expectations) and escalated issues early to avoid reactive firefighting.
Champion and execute key commercial initiatives—such as G7 migration and adoption, AID readiness, HCP engagement/switch activity, and brand awareness activation—in collaboration with Marketing and Medical.
Ensure the team operates fully within HCC, legal, and corporate guidelines, including compliant contracting/pricing frameworks and accurate, timely reporting and administration.
Qualifications
Proven people leader / player‑coach with a track record of coaching performance through clear objectives, structured cadence, field time, and feedback.
Strong sales success in healthcare/MedTech with experience in hospital stakeholder environments and long‑cycle account management.
Demonstrated ability to drive tenders end‑to‑end: translating requirements into a clear workplan, coordinating cross‑functional inputs, and delivering high‑quality submissions under deadline pressure.
Commercial judgement balancing quality/value vs pricing strategy in tender settings, with the ability to think through competitive dynamics and broader business implications.
Analytical and CRM‑fluent: comfortable using CRM and sales analytics to manage performance, forecast accurately, identify opportunity gaps, and prioritise effort.
Strong stakeholder management and matrix influence, able to mobilise internal partners (Market Access, Marketing, Medical, Operations, Finance/IT) to unblock execution and deliver outcomes.
Language capability to operate across Belgium (French/Dutch/English) for customer engagement and internal collaboration.
Typical requirement: Bachelor’s degree with 8‑12years of industry experience and 2‑5years of prior management or lead experience.
