The Opportunity
As an Area Sales Manager (ASM), you will be responsible for driving capital equipment sales growth throughout your assigned Vision territory by developing new business opportunities, expanding existing customer relationships, and building a strong, sustainable pipeline.
This is a true hunter role.
Success in this position requires high activity, strong prospecting discipline, resilience, and the ability to navigate consultative sales conversations with physicians, administrators, surgeons, and healthcare decision-makers.
You will work closely with Regional Sales Leadership and cross-functional partners to execute strategic growth initiatives while representing one of the most respected brands in ophthalmic technology.
Drive Growth
Build and execute a strategic territory plan focused on revenue growth and market expansion
Prospect, develop, and close new business opportunities through high activity and strong pipeline management
Grow existing accounts while uncovering new opportunities across practices and med spas
Own the Sales Process
Manage complex capital equipment sales cycles from prospecting through close
Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline activity, and opportunity management within Salesforce
Partner with Regional Sales Leadership to execute territory growth strategies and drive performance
Build Customer Partnerships
Develop trusted relationships with physicians, providers, administrators, and key decision-makers
Deliver consultative presentations, product demonstrations, and strategic business discussions
Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to support long-term customer success
Stay Connected
Represent Lumenis at trainings, trade shows, and industry events
Travel throughout the territory to support customers and drive business growth
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
4+ years of successful outside B2B sales or medical device sales experience
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding quota
Strong prospecting, pipeline development, and closing skills
Ability to manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders
Strong consultative selling and relationship-building capabilities
High level of accountability, competitiveness, and self-motivation
Experience with Salesforce or CRM systems preferred
Valid driver's license required

Compensation Designed for High Performers
Competitive base salary
Uncapped commissions
$240,000.00+ total cash compensation at 100% plan attainment
Additional earning upside for over-performance

Additional Information
This position requires approximately 50% travel within the assigned territory and occasional domestic travel for meetings, training, and industry events.
