Sr Manager Business Affairs Music

MW Partners is currently seeking a Sr Manager Business Affairs Music to work for our client who is a global leader in the media and entertainment industry.

Responsibilities and duties:

Draft, review and negotiate various work for hire music production agreements for features division alongside music attorneys.
Manage the Attorney Status Report in Airtable as deal memos/agreements are sent, comments are received, agreements are executed and payment status.
Manage Airtable status charts for clearance/licensing.
Prepare and review restriction memos in relation to the score, original songs and source music used in film releases. Update in Airtable.
Review and approve payments as first round approver for work for hire, licensing and music production agreements. Update in Airtable.
Point person for music data tracking/asset management systems (ONSet, Airtable, Trevanna Tracks, iManage, etc.).
Review music licenses and clearances as needed.
Database research in ONSet as needed.
Handle music work for hire document requests from features marketing team as needed alongside music attorneys.
Handle podcast music work for hire document requests from the Business Development team as needed alongside music attorneys.
Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 3-5 years of entertainment experience
Must have good oral and written communication skills.
Paralegal certificate or legal training preferred
Self starter with ability to handle multiple, high priority tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all levels within the company.
Excellent attention to detail.
Logical reasoning skills and strong facility with language to quickly comprehend complex contracts and efficiently modify and/or summarize essential details
