Job Description
The Leidos Intelligence Sector is seeking aMid-LevelTechnical Editorto support the OSINT mission at DIA/NDOCThis position will belocatedat one of our customer sites in Bethesda, MD; Reston, VA; or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling.
This exciting opportunity will enable you toleverageyour experience in support of the DIAOSINT mission. In this mission space, we support DIA/NDOC's OSINT production on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE). The Leidos effort consists of five main tasks: collecting and reporting, mission and information technology architecture, policy and OSINT governance support, OSINT strategic communications strategy support, and OSINT specialized tradecraft and training development support.
As a Technical Editor, you will support the development, review, and refinement of a variety of technical and intelligence documents for our customer. You will play a key role in ensuring the clarity, consistency, and compliance of written products with Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) and Intelligence Community (IC) standards, contributing to the effective communication and dissemination of critical information.You have a demonstrated aptitude and appreciation for the English language, as well as a collaborative nature that allows you to work well with experts across a range of disciplines and cultural backgrounds.
Ideally you have a mix of AORexpertise, intellectual curiosity, communications skills, and operational experience to improve the quality of our intelligence products in partnership with a highly qualified, highly motivated team.

Responsibilities Include:
- Review written products includingOSIRsdrafts, IT technical artifacts, policy documents, strategic communications, training materials, tradecraft notes, slides, website content, and other mediaforclarity, logic, and consistency.
- Review, proofread,and edit OSIRs to ensureadherence toDIE standardsincoordination withthecustomer.
- ConductOSIRquality control, including formattingand properclassification markingsin accordance withIC guidanceto supportdisseminationofOSIRs.
- Collect,organize, and editinformationrequiredfor preparation of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and other reports and deliverables.
- Reviewcommunications, tradecraft,policy and governance documents for clarity and compliance with DoD, DIA, and IC standards.
- Ensure allreportingcomplieswithapplicable laws, policies, and procedures.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- U.S. Citizenship required per program requirements.
- Bachelor's degree inEnglish,Journalism,or relevant field and 4 years of experience intechnical editing orintelligencepublishing. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree are acceptable.
- Candidates with a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in the field will be considered.
- Strong mastery of English grammar and formal writing styles.
Preferred Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Bachelor's degree inEnglish,Journalism,or relevant field.
- Eight (8)yearsof experienceintechnical editing orintelligencepublishingwith at least aportionof the experience within the last two (2) years.
- Successful polygraph within the last 5 years is a significant advantage and preferred.
- Certification inediting or publishing.
- Prior OSINT experience, particularly drafting or editing of OSIRs.
- Experienceworkingwith the DIA Style Manualor similar intelligence community writing and formatting standards.
