Are you tech-savvy and looking for a place to apply your skills in a meaningful way? Our Savior Lutheran is seeking a volunteer with sound and IT experience to support our worship services and special events.
Overview
Our Savior Lutheran Church is looking for a dedicated and tech-savvy individual to join our volunteer team as a Sound and IT Support Person. Someone who can jump in with confidence and is excited about using technology to support ministry. In return, you’ll get the chance to work with a purpose-driven team and contribute to a dynamic worship environment.
If you have a heart to serve and enjoy working with audio equipment, computers, and basic troubleshooting, this is a great opportunity to use your skills for ministry.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the soundboard during Sunday services and special events
Ensure microphones, monitors, and speakers are functioning properly
Set up and manage audio/visual equipment (e.g., projectors, screens)
Support presentation slides (e.g., ProPresenter, PowerPoint, etc.)
Troubleshoot basic technical issues with equipment or livestream setup
Coordinate with worship and media teams for smooth service flow
Arrive early to set up and test equipment before service

Ideal Skills & Qualities
Experience with soundboards or willingness to learn
Basic computer/tech troubleshooting skills
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Calm under pressure during live services
Able to work well in a team and follow directions
A heart to serve and support the ministry behind the scenes

Time Commitment
Sunday Mornings: Typically, 2–2.5 hours before and during service
Occasional midweek support for rehearsals, services, or events (as needed)
Flexible scheduling and team rotations available

Tech Savvy
