Senior Managing Editor, Journals

Managing peer review and editorial operations for a high-volume medical journal, the full-time Senior Managing Editor, Journals will oversee the editorial team, develop strategies for journal growth, and ensure compliance with scholarly publishing guidelines in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities

Manage peer review processes and relationships with editorial services providers to ensure compliance and efficiency
Oversee editorial functions, including managing the Editorial Board and implementing editorial policies
Direct journal marketing efforts and promote articles through social media and other channels to increase visibility and submissions

Required qualifications

Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a scientific or academic publishing environment
5 years of peer review management experience, particularly with physicians or scientists
4 years of experience in a leadership role
Advanced analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
