Role Overview
The Creative Operations Director is responsible for the implementation and fulfillment of the vision, strategy, and execution of the Worship and Production Department at The Fellowship Church. This role exists to create cohesive, well produced, discerningly pastored, and engaging experiences where people can encounter Jesus and clearly understand the Gospel. This person oversees creative content, worship experiences, staffing, and production execution while ensuring alignment across all ministries and platforms. This role primarily serves as an implementer and carrier of the creative vision established by the Lead Pastor and Worship Pastor.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Vision & Strategy
Steward and implement the creative vision of the church.
Ensure worship, production, and creative elements align with church mission and values.
Collaborate on concepts for sermon series, events, and ministry initiatives.
Maintain consistency across branding and communication platforms.
Worship Leadership
Oversee the culture, health, and development of worship teams.
Collaborate with pastors and worship leaders to execute engaging, Spirit‑led services.
Assist with service flow, song selection, and worship planning.
Develop worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, creative staff, and volunteers.
SOMAW
Oversee budgets, marketing, subsidies, and staff for School Of Music And Worship.
Serve as Co Director of SOMAW.
Assist in scheduling instructors, locations, and class times.
Production Oversight
Lead all production environments including audio, lighting, video, and livestream.
Ensure distraction free and high quality execution for services and events.
Develop volunteer production teams.
Oversee technical systems, equipment, and excellence.
Content & Creative Execution
Oversee graphics, video, social media, and digital communication.
Lead storytelling through visual and digital platforms.
Manage creative workflows from concept to completion.
Ensure content is timely, aligned, and on brand.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Recruit, train, and lead staff and volunteer teams.
Build systems that support healthy ministry growth.
Foster a collaborative, humble, Christ centered culture.
Partner with pastors and ministry leaders to execute church vision effectively.
The Fellowship Collective
Serve as a visionary and operational lead for TFC original music.
Assist in vision implementation for original content.
Steward copyright, songwriter agreements, and music distribution.
Digital & Communications
Oversee social media and digital engagement strategies.
Ensure website and communication platforms remain effective and current.
Evaluate engagement and improve communication reach.
Qualifications
Growing and active relationship with Jesus Christ.
Alignment with the mission and beliefs of The Fellowship Church.
5+ years of leadership experience in worship, production, creative, or related fields.
Proven leadership in both creative and technical environments.
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple ministries and projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, Planning Center Online, Slack, Logic Pro X, and Wrike.
Preferred Skills
Experience in a multi ministry or multi campus church setting.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative tools.
Audio/visual production experience.
Songwriting, arranging, or musical direction experience.
Experience leading volunteer driven ministries.
Characteristics
Self starter, detail oriented, pastoral, discerning, diligent, collaborative, perceptive, and dependable. Possesses the qualifications of an overseer outlined in 1 Timothy 3.
Expectations
Sunday availability required. Office Hours: Mon Wed: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; Thurs: 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm; Sun: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm. Additional evening availability required for rehearsals, services, and events.
