Responsibilities

Select, with consultation of other musical staff members, a musical theater production.

Secure performance rights for the musical, along with dates & times of rehearsals and performances.

Schedule and attend meetings in planning and preparing for the musical.

Coordinate with Administration and office staff of General Wayne Elementary School for the use of the auditorium for performances.

With consultation of other musical staff, select audition materials, conduct auditions, and cast show.

Supervise set design, construction, props and costume design.

Direct and attend all rehearsals and performances of the musical.

Supervise internal communication with cast, staff and parents.

Coordinate with the Assistant Director on the performance aspects of the musical, including stage direction, blocking, vocal instruction, choreography & movement.

Coordinate with the Technical Director on all technical aspects of the musical, including stage crew, lighting, sound, and video.

Coordinate with the Producer to work on backstage management of cast members and use of parent volunteers.

Coordinate with the Finance Director for the collection and deposit of all monies in accordance with District Policy.

*Due to the current negotiations of the Collection Bargaining Agreement (CBA), an adjustment may need to be made for EDR stipends. If so, they will be adjusted after the CBA is ratified.
