Masse - Technical Content Editor (AI, SaaS, Cloud)
Who We Are
Masse is a fast-growing SEO and AEO agency that builds content campaigns at scale for ambitious tech and healthcare companies. Our client roster spans SaaS platforms, AI startups, developer tools, cloud infrastructure providers, and more. Were looking for an editor to own quality across our technical content, making sure every article we publish is accurate, specific, and written at the level our readers expect: CTOs, VPs of Engineering, DevOps leads, and other technical decision-makers who will catch every vague claim and unsupported stat.
You dont need to be an engineer. But you do need to understand the space well enough to know when a writer is hand-waving, when a claim needs a source, and when a section needs more depth to be genuinely useful.
This role is focused on a few of our most technically demanding clients: a cloud infrastructure platform that handles data protection and data lake management across AWS, GCP, and Azure; a SaaS monetization and entitlements platform that helps companies manage pricing, billing, and usage control for AI products; and a YC-backed startup building automated QA and testing tools for conversational AI agents.
The content youll be editing covers topics like cloud backup architecture, multi-cloud strategy, usage-based billing models, API entitlements, voice AI reliability, and LLM evaluation workflows. If those topics excite you (or at least dont scare you), keep reading.
What Youll Do
Edit 15-20 articles per week covering cloud infrastructure, SaaS billing and monetization, conversational AI, and related topics, turning rough drafts into content that outranks whatevers currently at #1.
Fact-check relentlessly: verify stats, confirm claims against official docs and authoritative sources (AWS documentation, vendor changelogs, published benchmarks), check that products and pricing are current, and flag anything that doesnt hold up.
Strip out AI patterns and generic filler. If a draft reads like it was generated and lightly skimmed, send it back with clear, actionable feedback on what needs to change.
Guide writers toward better work through constructive feedback that helps them improve over time.
Track progress in Asana, keep client content pipelines moving, and communicate with clients in Slack when needed.
Collaborate closely with the managing editor and content leads to maintain editorial standards across the board.
What Were Looking For
Native-level English.
A solid understanding of technical subjects. You should feel confident reading drafts about cloud infrastructure, SaaS architecture, and AI tooling, and know how to guide writers when something doesnt quite land.
Experience editing for technical audiences: engineering leaders, CTOs, VPs of Product, DevOps and platform teams, or similar.
Strong SEO knowledge, particularly on-page optimization, content structure, keyword placement, and what makes an article actually perform in search.
Familiarity with AI-generated content and the specific patterns it produces. You know what AI writing looks like and you know how to fix it.
Prior agency or startup experience. Youre comfortable with high volume, fast turnarounds, and managing multiple clients without dropping quality.
Ability to work fully remote, hit consistent deadlines, and manage your own workflow across a busy editorial pipeline.
Bonus: hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), SaaS billing or pricing infrastructure, or AI/ML tooling. You dont need to have built these systems, but if youve worked with them, administered them, or written about them before, youll ramp up significantly faster.
Who Thrives at Masse
Skills and experience matter, but so does how you work. Were a small, fast-moving team and the people who do best here tend to share a few things in common.
Quality obsessed.
You take pride in the details. A broken link, a stat without a source, a paragraph that says nothing, those things bother you. You dont ship work youre not proud of, and you hold the people around you to the same standard.
Self-directed.
Were fully remote and async-first. Nobody is going to check that youre online at 9am. But your deadlines are real, your writers are counting on you, and the pipeline doesnt wait. If you need structure imposed on you from the outside, this probably isnt the right fit. If you thrive when you own your schedule and your output, youll love it here.
Genuinely curious.
The best editors on our team are the ones who actually care about the topics theyre working on. You dont need to be an expert in everything, but you should be the kind of person who goes down a rabbit hole on container orchestration or LLM evaluation frameworks and enjoys it.
