Summary of Essential Duties
The Station Manager leads and coordinates all aspects of airport operations at the assigned station, overseeing ticket counter, gate, baggage, and ramp functions to ensure safe, efficient, and customer‑focused service. The role includes direct supervision, training, and support of Cross‑Utilized Airport Agents and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Interact with service provider, ground handling staff, and management
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for ticket counter, gate, baggage, and ramp‑handling support
Oversee vendor performance and ensure reporting and compliance standards are met
Represent Contour at all airports, government, and company meetings
Maintain training and mentoring of vendor leadership teams to meet service expectations
Maintain knowledge of policies and processes for law enforcement, hazardous materials, and other regulations
Interface and communicate with passengers, agents, flight crews, and vendors as needed
Ensure safety and security of the ramp and observe safe ground‑handling procedures
Comply with all safety procedures, airline policies, and company SOPs
Assist in ramp set‑up, equipment and baggage storage, and maintain safe operations
Communicate promptly any events or challenges involving the local operation with management and/or the Systems Operations Control Center
Respond to irregular operations and minimize customer inconvenience
Complete required reports and audits to satisfy company and regulatory requirements
Investigate and analyze problems such as damage to ground service equipment or aircraft, and formulate corrective actions
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Working Environment / Physical Requirements
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
Regularly lift and transport items up to 75 pounds
Stand, walk, and work on feet up to 8 hours per shift
Work in a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme weather and loud noise
Operate ground service equipment safely and perform related tasks
Ascend and descend stairs frequently
Qualifications
At least 23 years of age
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the U.S.
Valid driver’s license with good driving record
English reading, writing, and speaking skills
Polished professional interpersonal skills and customer‑oriented mindset
Strong leadership, organizational, and people skills
Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Strong attention to detail and self‑motivation
Excellent written and verbal communication with tact and professionalism
Must pass DOT pre‑employment drug screen and FAA/Company random drug/alcohol tests
Pass required 10‑year work history review and criminal background/fingerprint checks
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook
Adhere to OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations
Prior aviation experience or aviation‑related education a plus
