Service Producer
River Pointe Church has a history of engaging worship, excellent production, and relevant teaching. The weekend experience is central to the mission and requires strong leadership, collaboration, and intentional execution to create environments where people can encounter Christ.

The Service Producer serves within the Worship & Creative Arts Department and is responsible for overseeing and executing the live worship experience at any of our campuses, at the discretion of WCA leadership. This role ensures all elements of the service are planned, coordinated, and executed with excellence while leading teams, volunteers, and production environments effectively. The Service Producer reports to the Worship & Creative Arts Pastor/Director.

The Service Producer must be a highly relational leader who thrives in team environments and understands how to align people, systems, and creative elements to produce meaningful worship experiences.

The Service Producer should possess an understanding of live production environments and service flow, including audio, lighting, stage management, video production, presentation systems, online experiences, and volunteer coordination. This role requires both technical awareness and strong organizational leadership.

Challenges for the Service Producer
1) Leadership
The Service Producer will lead and care for a large team of volunteers while maintaining organization, morale, recruitment, development, and community within the team.

Leadership at RPC requires someone who makes decisions that best support the mission and takes ownership of responsibilities with humility and integrity. This role often involves navigating challenging situations, managing details under pressure, and leading people through change.

This position is ultimately a people‑first role. The successful candidate must communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and create healthy team culture among staff and volunteers.

The Service Producer will:

Recruit, train, schedule, and lead volunteer production teams

Coordinate communication between Worship, Production, Creative Arts, and Campus leadership

Lead service rehearsals, service flow execution, and weekend production meetings

Assist in developing systems, processes, and standards for worship experiences across campuses and events

Help oversee technical projects, installations, and production improvements

2) Service & Production Oversight
This position requires a strong understanding of live worship production and the ability to oversee all service elements cohesively.

The Service Producer will help coordinate:

Audio, lighting, video, and presentation teams

Stage management and backstage communication

Video playback and online/broadcast experiences

Service timing, transitions, and cue execution

Worship Center readiness for weekend services and special events

The Service Producer will also assist in maintaining production equipment and environments, including:

Cameras

Lighting fixtures

Audio systems

Presentation systems

Switchers and broadcast equipment

Software updates and maintenance schedules

The ideal candidate should be able to troubleshoot issues quickly while maintaining calm leadership during live experiences.

3) Flexibility
The Service Producer will support a variety of ministry environments and events outside of weekend services, including:

Sacred Events (weddings and funerals)

Churchwide Events

Ministry‑specific gatherings

Student and Next Gen events

Outside organization partnerships and hosted events

This role requires flexibility in schedule, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to adapt quickly in fast‑paced environments.

The Service Producer will collaborate with worship leaders, communicators, production volunteers, and ministry staff to ensure all experiences are executed with excellence and consistency.

General Responsibilities of the Service Producer

Oversee and execute live worship experiences in the Worship Center

Coordinate all production and service flow elements related to audio, lighting, video, media, staging, and presentation

Lead volunteer scheduling, communication, onboarding, and training for production teams

Manage service plans, cues, transitions, and rehearsal flow

Ensure online and broadcast experiences are prepared and delivered effectively

Assist with video capture, playback systems, and multi‑campus delivery platforms

Help maintain production systems, equipment, upgrades, repairs, warranties, and installations

Support special projects including production research, system implementation, and quality control

Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for Worship Center use and production environments

Collaborate with staff and ministry leaders to support churchwide events and ministry initiatives

Help create a welcoming, distraction‑free environment that supports worship and engagement

The primary responsibility of the Service Producer is overseeing and facilitating the live worship experience in the Worship Center. This role also helps strengthen production systems, volunteer culture, and operational consistency across worship services, special events, overflow venues, and future ministry environments.
