Job Description

WNYW/WWOR is seeking a skilled Broadcast Maintenance Engineer to perform daily preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and problem solving of all equipment associated with a 24/7/365 television operation in a major market.
Responsibilities

Maintenance of automated Master Control systems, Studio, Automated Production Control Room Systems, Camera Control Systems, Robotic cameras, Remote Production ENG equipment, Post Production, Newsroom Video Playback and Archive solutions, ENG/SNG operations, NAS systems, Non Linear edit systems, and Satellite distribution systems.
Assist in system design, construction and commissioning of new technologies at the Studio, Transmitter and Remote Facilities.
Qualifications

At least 5 years’ experience in TV Engineering.
Strong IT background.
B.S. degree with an emphasis in Engineering or IT preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work closely with all station staff in a team environment.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Flexible hours and shifts; overnight and weekend availability required.
Union membership: IATSE Local 794.
Benefits & Compensation

The pay rate for this role is $52.25 per hour, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience and location in accordance with the applicable union collective bargaining agreement. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical, dental, vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
