Media Buyer Job at DUO Digital in Costa Mesa

DUO Digital · Costa Mesa, CA, USA ·

Job type:
Contract

DUO Digital is a marketing agency built for the trades and home services. We run two sides of the house:

Duo Digital

(home services — roofing, pools, remodeling, HVAC, plumbing, moving, landscaping) and

Duo Strategy

(B2B SaaS marketing). The home services side is the growth engine — about 22 active clients, founder-led, lean by design.

We operate on what we call the Foreman Model: a small human team plus an AI execution layer. Humans set direction and own relationships; AI does the repeatable work. Everything we ship runs through one framework:

Be Found → Be Seen → Be Chosen → Be Booked .

We move fast. We don't do bloated decks or padded retainers. The work is the work.

The Role
We're hiring a Meta Ads Media Buyer to own day-to-day Meta campaign execution across our client roster. You'll take finished creative from our creative team, build the campaigns, structure the ad sets, dial in targeting, manage budget pacing, and optimize for lead quality — not just lead volume.

Most of our Meta accounts sit between $1K and $10K per month in spend. That means SMB home service operators where ad set consolidation, creative-led testing, and conversion event hygiene matter far more than fancy multi-tier funnel structures. If you've spent the last few years running SMB

lead-gen

on Meta and have strong opinions about what actually works at that budget, you'll fit here.

This is a hands-on seat. You're not strategizing in a doc. You're in Ads Manager every day, shipping campaigns, watching numbers, and telling the team what to do next.

Responsibilities

Build and launch Meta campaigns end-to-end — campaign structure, ad sets, targeting, placements, optimization events

Take finished creative from our creative lead and load it into campaigns cleanly and correctly

Own day-to-day budget pacing across multiple client accounts

Run creative testing inside ad sets — not by spinning up new ones for every variant

Monitor lead volume and quality in WhatConverts; flag drops, anomalies, or quality issues before the client does

Adjust bidding, audiences, and creative based on real performance data

Set up and maintain Meta CAPI and pixel implementations; coordinate with the team on conversion event mapping

Write short, clear performance recaps for internal review and client-facing reporting

Stay current on Meta platform changes, betas, and best practices — and tell us which ones are actually worth chasing

Qualifications

2–4+ years hands-on Meta Ads management — Business Manager, Ads Manager, the real thing (not just boosting posts or running e-comm catalog campaigns)

Demonstrated experience running

lead-gen

campaigns at SMB budgets ($2K–$15K/mo per account)

Strong point of view on ad set structure, audience strategy, and creative testing at constrained budgets

Comfortable with Meta CAPI, pixel implementation, and conversion event configuration

Clear written communicator — Slack, briefs, recaps. You can explain what changed and why in two sentences.

Self-directed. You don't need a manager hovering to ship the day's work.

Nice to Have

Home services or trades vertical experience

WhatConverts, Google Ads, or LSA exposure

Comfort working in an AI-augmented workflow — we use Claude and other tools daily, and we expect you'll lean on them too

Experience reporting against closed-loop CRM data (HubSpot, Attio, GHL, Salesforce)

What We're Not

Not a giant agency. Small, founder-led, AI-leveraged. You'll know everyone on the team.

Not looking for a "growth hacker" or a Meta evangelist. We're looking for an executor who knows the platform cold and ships clean work, day after day.

Not a strategy seat. Strategy gets set with the co-founders and clients. You own execution.

This is a contract-to-hire seat. You'll start with one or two of our accounts, we'll see how you operate, and we'll grow the book from there.
