This role is the operational engine of the brand and marketing team, connecting brand marketing to retail execution
The Retail Marketing Manager will help ensure the right assets, products, and information are in the right place at the right time
This is not a strategy role; it is a high‑ownership execution role with brand at its core
The right person will bring structure, follow‑through, and attention to detail to a fast‑moving team where strong coordination directly impacts retail performance and brand consistency
What You’ll Own
Own and maintain the shopper marketing calendar across retail accounts, including timelines, deliverables, and cross‑functional coordination
Project manage shopper marketing initiatives from planning through execution
Coordinate promotional activity with brokers and distributors, including contract management, system uploads, and communication of promotional timing and requirements
Manage product data, digital assets, and retail‑facing content across retail content platforms, ensuring information is accurate, current, and compliant
Facilitate creative briefs for sales materials, retail‑facing collateral, and shopper marketing needs
Coordinate trade show and event logistics end to end, including registrations, booth materials, shipping, staffing, samples, and event trackers
Manage sample and gifting inventory, demand planning, and fulfillment for sales, events, influencers, and retail support
Coordinate store‑level inventory for field marketing and sampling activations and ensure partners have the retail data needed for performance analysis
Serve as the point of contact for retail customer inquiries, triaging and resolving issues in a timely, brand‑appropriate manner
What Success Looks Like
Shopper marketing calendars are accurate, current, and clearly communicated across internal and external partners
Promotional activity is coordinated on time, with contracts, system uploads, and broker/distributor communication handled cleanly
Retail content platforms and sales materials are accurate, up to date, and delivered on schedule
Trade shows, events, samples, and gifting programs are organized and executed without last‑minute chaos
Field marketing and sampling partners have the inventory coordination and retail data they need to execute and evaluate performance
Retail customer inquiries are handled quickly, clearly, and in a way that reflects the Alec’s brand
The marketing team has more structure, visibility, and confidence because this role is keeping key workstreams moving
Ideal Experience
1–3 years of experience in CPG, retail marketing, trade marketing, brand operations, or a related role
Experience coordinating multiple workstreams, deadlines, partners, and deliverables at once
Comfortable working in content management platforms, promotional planning tools, or retail asset systems
Comfortable operating in a small, fast‑moving team where priorities can shift and no task is too small
Project management experience
Experience with retail asset management platforms such as IX‑1, Syndigo, or Brand Bank
Familiarity with trade promotion management systems
Experience supporting trade shows, sampling programs, or retail marketing activations
Interest in ice cream
