Job Summary
Sales Account Executive at Lamar in Muskegon, Michigan. Provide innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to local businesses.
Responsibilities
Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports.
Target businesses in the assigned area and visit each established Lamar client as well as competitors’ clients.
Exhibit knowledge of local and national competition.
Cluster accounts to work efficiently.
Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts.
Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals, written presentations, and research.
Develop presentation skills and present to clients regularly.
Develop new product knowledge and selling skills.
Participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
Perform administrative duties, such as:
Maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans a month in advance.
Follow up on client production orders and problem‑solve any issues.
Keeping organized and up‑to‑date records of clients and sales activity.
Qualifications
Comfortable making cold calls over the phone and in‑person.
Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures.

Motivation to learn new technology and systems.
Effective time management and self‑organization.
Commitment to the outdoor advertising industry and ability to sell its benefits.
Strong professional communication skills, verbal and written.

Active, valid driver’s license.
College degree preferred.
Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
CRM experience preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Combination of office and field work, including sales calls and servicing accounts.
Light lifting, eye requirements (reading, color distinction, acuity, depth perception, peripheral vision), less than 50% sitting, standing, talking, turning, walking.
Night travel less than 10% of total time.
