Clinical Account Executive
As a Clinical Account Executive, you will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong clinical relationships and providing expert pharmacy services and guidance.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain clinical relationships with clients, brokers, and consultants.
Assess unique client needs and tailor pharmacy services and drug lists.
Provide consultative management of day‑to‑day clinical service offerings, supporting sales, IT, and implementation.
Offer clinical expertise on drug lists, drug therapy, and treatment protocols.
Stay current on clinical pharmacy trends, emerging drugs, and regulatory changes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategic pharmacy service plans aligned with client and organizational goals.
Analyze prescribing and utilization patterns to identify trends and client needs, and make evidence‑based formulary recommendations.
Identify opportunities to expand pharmacy services within existing accounts.
Work with sales and marketing to develop proposals, presentations, and other materials for business development.
Represent the company at client benefit and utilization reviews, attending and leading clinical portions of presentations.
Identify client‑specific trends and short- and long‑term upsell opportunities.
Develop clinical programs and recommendations tailored to the book of business.
Participate in business events, conferences, trade shows, and seminars as needed.
Travel up to 25% of the time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
3+ years of experience in PBM, managed care, or clinical pharmacy account management.
Strong knowledge of formulary management, specialty pharmacy, biosimilars, and cost‑containment strategies.
Proven ability to communicate complex clinical concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated success in relationship management with external clients and cross‑functional teams.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills focused on outcomes‑based solutions.
Experience with GLP‑1 utilization management and specialty drug trends preferred.
Active pharmacist license in good standing in at least one state.
Ability to travel as needed to meet client and business demands.

Physical Requirements
The role is largely sedentary but requires some standing, walking, bending, and reaching. The employee will regularly operate office equipment (computer, phone, printer) and may travel by car or airplane.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: USD 140,000–170,000. Remote position; travel required for client meetings and collaboration.
