We are looking for experienced SEHS educators to author original, exam‑aligned textbooks for Toddle's growing library of International Baccalaureate resources, on a
part-time basis . This is a structured, milestone‑driven contract with close collaboration with Toddle's team and a subject‑matter reviewer.
About the role
You will plan, write, and refine a complete IBDP textbook for the SEHS subject - from syllabus mapping through to final cross‑check, working within a defined process and submitting deliverables for review at each milestone. The book must be academically rigorous, exam‑focused, and genuinely better than what is currently on the market.
All content must be written in British English and citations must follow APA format.
Here’s what you’ll be doing
Benchmark existing SEHS textbooks to identify gaps and define where your book adds genuine value
Analyse IA/EA subject reports to identify recurring student misconceptions and examiner‑flagged skill gaps
Map the full syllabus into a tracking spreadsheet, flagging all SL/HL distinctions and monitoring coverage throughout
Design a detailed chapter template covering chapter openings, DP core integration, assessment preparation, command term scaffolding, visuals, and academic rigour
Draft all chapters; including a dedicated IA chapter - following the agreed template, and submit in batches through milestone‑based review cycles
Cross‑check all content against past papers and mark schemes, and conduct a final coverage check across the entire book before submission
Join weekly check‑ins with the Toddle team to discuss progress, share ideas, and align on priorities
What we’re looking for
Demonstrated experience teaching SEHS. You understand how the IB assesses students and what exam readiness actually requires
Deep familiarity with your subject's guide, TSM, specimen papers, and recent subject reports
Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain complex ideas clearly across SL and HL levels
Ability to work independently to a milestone schedule, submit drafts on time, and incorporate reviewer feedback constructively
