About the Opportunity
As a Community Associate, you will be the primary point of contact for the Community and act as the “face” of WeWork! You will report to your building daily to support the Community Management team. Your work will include: building a welcoming community through events, ensuring the building runs efficiently, driving growth of WeWork services, and supporting the Community Team while embodying WeWork’s core values and mission.
Responsibilities
Cover the front desk during business hours, greet members and guests, and manage guest sign‑in via Welkio tablet.
Build and nurture relationships with members to enhance community sense.
Anticipate member and guest needs and personalize their experience using member insights.
Maintain a clean, organized front‑desk and notify members of food deliveries and couriers.
Answer member and guest questions about building policies, way‑finding, and community etiquette.
Provide feedback on programming types, evaluate events based on attendance and impact, and celebrate member milestones.
Promote events by creating and posting weekly posters and individual event posters, and ensure event operational requirements are met.
Enter event and member notes into Kube or equivalent system.
Identify and execute opportunities to connect members and recommend local services such as restaurants, catering, and shipping.
Engage members through the WeWork member network and communicate building updates via broadcasts.
Manage mailroom operations: process, sort, and organize mail; handle returns to sender; resolve lost packages.
Track, audit, and organize keys; manage keycard stock and request new inventory; handle key collection on move‑outs.
Support automated coffee machine operations and overall building operations.
Qualifications
College graduate preferred, but not required.
1+ year of hospitality experience.
Customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
Demonstrated integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self‑awareness, work ethic, and compassion.
Passion for entrepreneurial communities and alignment with WeWork’s mission and values.
Proficiency with basic computer skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay: $23 to $25 per hour. Incentive compensation is available as part of a role‑specific incentive plan. Employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits, including:
20 days of PTO, approximately 13 paid holidays, and 80 hours of paid sick time per full calendar year.
