What You Will Do

Contribute to the design, development, and high‑fidelity modeling and simulation of advanced underwater acoustics and real‑time signal processing systems. Develop, analyze, and optimize complex digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for sonar applications, acoustic propagation, and performance. Travel to customer sites, field test locations, and other RTX facilities to support system integration, sea trials, and program reviews.
What You Will Learn

Gain deep, hands‑on exposure to next‑generation undersea warfare technologies and systems. Master advanced hardware‑software co‑design frameworks alongside top‑tier industry experts at RTX.
Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline.
2+ years of professional engineering experience specifically focused on signal processing, modeling, or simulation.
Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer

Solid, demonstrable understanding of underwater acoustics fundamentals and digital signal processing principles.
Extensive hands‑on experience utilizing MATLAB programming for algorithm formulation and data analysis.
Willingness and capability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support critical program milestones.
Proven experience leveraging Simulink for system‑level modeling and generating MEX files for hardware optimization.
Professional proficiency in C/C++ programming languages targeted for embedded or real‑time operating systems.
Foundational experience implementing or adapting machine learning algorithms to address complex acoustic classification and pattern recognition challenges.
Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills to present complex engineering data to internal leadership and external DoD stakeholders.
