Social Media Summer Intern
New York City | Flowcode - SoHo, New York | $21/hour
About Flowcode & The Role
At Flowcode, we help brands turn real-world attention into measurable digital engagement. From sports arenas and concerts to retail shelves and live events, Flowcode powers the connection between the physical and digital worlds for some of the biggest brands on the planet.
We're building one of the fastest-growing brands in tech and are looking for a part-time Social Media Intern who wants to be in the room where culture, content, sports, entertainment, and internet moments happen in real time.
This role will support content creation, community management, and trend monitoring across Flowcode's social media channels. You'll help film and edit engaging content, write copy, assist with campaign execution, and actively manage our online presence to help us stay ahead of industry trends and connect to our audience.
This is not a "schedule a few posts and call it a day" internship. You'll help shape the voice, presence, and momentum of a company working at the intersection of culture and technology.
What You'll Do
Create Content That Actually Matters
Film, edit, and publish short-form content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and emerging platforms
Capture behind-the-scenes moments around the office, shoots, events, leadership, and culture
Turn real-time moments into social-first content quickly
Help concept, storyboard, and execute videos designed for engagement, not just views
Live Inside Internet Culture
Stay ahead of trends, formats, creators, sounds, memes, and platform behavior
Bring fresh ideas to the table constantly
Identify moments where Flowcode should show up online before everyone else does
Help Build a Brand in Public
Assist with social campaigns, launches, creator collaborations, and event coverage
Write captions and social copy tailored to each platform
Support community management and audience engagement
Help maintain and organize the content calendar
Be Part of the Creative Process
Work directly with leadership, marketing, and creative teams
Sit in on brainstorms and campaign planning
Help shape content strategy, not just execute it
Learn how modern brands move fast and operate online in real time
Who You Are
Deeply obsessed with social media and internet culture
You instinctively know what makes people stop scrolling
Comfortable filming on iPhone, cameras, or both
Intermediate editing experience in Adobe Premiere Pro (Preferred), Adobe Lightroom, Figma, Final Cut, CapCut, or similar tools
Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, and emerging content trends
Familiarity with social media management platforms such as Sprout Social for content scheduling, publishing, and performance tracking is a plus.
Highly organized, proactive, and fast-moving
Comfortable being in a fast-paced environment where ideas move quickly
Someone who says "I can figure it out" instead of "I've never done that before"
Bonus points if you:
Have your own TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or creative portfolio
Love sports, entertainment, tech, fashion, or internet culture
Have experience creating viral or high-performing content
Understand how storytelling differs platform-to-platform
What You'll Gain
Hands-on experience helping build a nationally recognized tech brand
Real ownership over projects and creative ideas
Access to shoots, campaigns, events, and leadership conversations
A front-row seat to how modern marketing and culture-driven brands operate
Portfolio-worthy work you'll actually be proud of
The Type of Person Who Thrives Here
Someone who:
Wants to create, not just observe
Thinks faster than trends move
Carries a camera everywhere
Understands both internet culture and brand storytelling
Wants to help build something people talk about
If that sounds like you, we want to meet you.
