Deputy Public Administrator

Position Summary
Seeking a qualified Deputy Public Administrator to perform daily duties related to serving as a court-appointed Client and/or Conservator for incapacitated and disabled individuals. This position works under the supervision of the Public Administrator and Chief Deputy and is responsible for advocating for clients' well‑being, managing caseloads, coordinating services, and ensuring compliance with court requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of assigned wards and protectees.

Visit wards in their placement settings and ensure they are receiving appropriate care in the least restrictive environment.

Prepare and file annual status reports with the Probate Court.

Provide consent for placement, treatment, and services through phone, email, and written communication.

Conduct investigations related to potential assets of protectees' estates, including securing real and personal property.

Complete applications, forms, and other required documentation on behalf of wards and protectees.

Coordinate payment of bills and expenses with appropriate court authorization.

Maintain regular contact with wards, protectees, family members, service providers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.

Respond promptly to emails, telephone calls, faxes, and other correspondence.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.

Two years of related professional experience.

Strong case‑management, communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations and maintain accurate records.

Knowledge of guardianship, conservatorship, social services, healthcare systems, or related fields is preferred.
