MGA Entertainment is one of the world's fastest‑growing toy and entertainment companies based in Chatsworth, California. The role is part of the sales team responsible for managing key retail accounts and driving sales and profitability across MGA’s portfolio.

Position Requirements
Education/Experience:

7+ years of sales management or sales experience within the toy industry

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing required (Master’s preferred)

Strong relationships with retailer management, buyers, marketing managers, replenishment and planning personnel

Proven track record of building sales and profitability in a competitive environment

Skills/Knowledge/Ability:

Elevated financial acumen – margin, forecast and budget planning

Strong strategic planning skills

Excellent sales, people, communication, administration, sales policy, planning and leadership skills

Ability to think on feet and develop contingency plans

Knowledge of customer planning tools such as VDP & EDQ/Retail Link

Travel required

Knowledge of LC (FOB) and domestic shipping procedures

Solid computer skills (Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Key Result Areas and Activities
Account Management & Development

Build rapport with the retailer’s buying team, including executives, buyers, planners and replenishment staff

Work with buying teams to understand their needs, performance metrics and timelines

Respond promptly to customer requests

Serve as the product, category and competitive expert within your responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day service issues between MGA marketing, product, customer marketing and retailer buying teams

Collaborative Forecasting/Planning

Establish and present timelines for line reviews, item confirmation, set dates and other relevant dates

Build bottom‑up item‑level forecasts in adherence to the Global Forecast timeline

Execute collaborative base‑line and promotional forecasts with all buyers

Create seasonal business plans (SAP plan, promotional activities, shelf space, catalog, POP signage, etc.) for each buyer per category/brand

Review business plans with each buyer monthly and communicate adjustments to SVP Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain

Analysis (POS, Competition, Opportunities)

Analyze POS data weekly to identify trends, promotional lift outcomes and competitive challenges

Provide early reads to anticipate challenges to first‑of‑season POS

Communication/Meetings

Provide weekly updates to buyers, including state of business, new initiatives and placement/promotional updates for SVP Sales

Follow up on buyer meeting recaps (in‑season and placement feedback)

Shop the top four toy retailer stores every two weeks

Participate in all national sales and show meetings/events

After line‑show meetings, provide detailed responses to product offerings to SVP Sales, Marketing and President

Other duties as assigned.
