Driving editorial strategy and managing a team, the full-time National Political Editor will oversee COURIER National's newsletter, social, and video/audio products while ensuring integration of key narratives and original reporting in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
Collaborate with leadership to set editorial strategy and core narratives across COURIER National products
Manage the D.C. Bureau team and oversee newsletter contributors to enhance content focus and subscriber engagement
Lead outreach and partnerships with mission-aligned organizations to support growth and engagement goals
Required qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in online news media in a reporting and/or news editor position
Strong background in political journalism and/or progressive media
Knowledge of journalism standards, ethics, and best practices in social media content creation
Existing network of political leaders, media outlets, and organizations for collaboration
Familiarity with current events and trends in Washington, D.C., and key states across the country
