Our client, an iconic hospitality and entertainment brand, is seeking a Mid-Senior Copywriter for a short-term assignment.
Location: Las Vegas, NV (hybrid onsite)
Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
Duration: 2-3 weeks
Hybrid Schedule Details:
Must be available for a kickoff call on Wednesday, 5/6, and required to be onsite in Las Vegas on Thursday (archival research) and Friday (property tour). The remainder of the assignment will be completed remotely.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Conduct in-depth research on the history and cultural significance of a landmark resort destination, including onsite work within university archival or special collections
- Participate in guided and self-led property tours to build a strong, firsthand understanding of the environment, architecture, and guest experience
- Develop clear, engaging copy that reflects both the brand's heritage and its modern evolution
- Write and refine messaging across a variety of touchpoints, including brand narratives, experiential content, signage, digital content, and campaign concepts
- Collaborate closely with creative, strategy, and brand partners to ensure tone alignment, storytelling cohesion, and factual accuracy
- Translate historical and cultural insights into contemporary, relevant brand language while maintaining authenticity
- Incorporate feedback and iterate quickly within a fast-paced, condensed project timeline
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- 5-8+ years of experience as a copywriter or brand writer, ideally within hospitality, entertainment, heritage brands, or cultural institutions
- Proven ability to craft narrative-driven copy rooted in research and real-world observation
- Strong editorial judgment with a keen eye for tone, voice, and detail
- Comfort working onsite, independently conducting research, and proactively asking thoughtful questions
- Experience synthesizing complex or historical subject matter into accessible, compelling storytelling
- Ability to manage a fast-paced, project-based workload with tight timelines
- A portfolio showcasing long-form storytelling, brand voice development, and/or experiential copy

- Background in luxury, hospitality, entertainment, or destination branding
- Experience working with historically significant or culturally iconic brands
- Familiarity with Las Vegas history or large-scale resort environments
