Head of Growth / Head of Marketing

Several of our clients are actively seeking their first marketing leader or an early marketing executive to build and scale demand generation, growth, brand, product marketing, and go-to-market functions from the ground up.
We're a search firm partnering with a portfolio of venture-backed startups ranging from Seed-stage companies through post-IPO organizations.

What You'll Do
Depending on the company and stage, responsibilities may include:
Build and own the marketing function from the ground up
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies
Drive customer acquisition and revenue growth
Create and optimize demand generation programs
Lead content, product marketing, brand, and growth initiatives
Partner closely with founders, product, sales, and customer success teams
Establish marketing metrics, reporting, and attribution frameworks
Experiment rapidly across paid, organic, community, partnerships, events, and AI-powered growth channels
Build scalable systems and processes that support company growth
What We're Looking For
3-10+ years of experience in Growth, Marketing, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, or related functions
Experience at venture-backed startups (Seed, Series A, Series B, or later-stage growth companies)
Proven ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
Track record of building programs, teams, or functions from scratch
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Familiarity with modern marketing technology and AI tools
Comfortable working directly with founders and executive leadership

Location
Candidates should be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or open to hybrid/on-site opportunities in San Francisco, or Palo Alto, Mountain View, Menlo Park, Redwood City, San Mateo, Oakland, Berkeley, or surrounding areas.
Most roles are hybrid or fully on-site in the SF Bay Area, with a few in nearby cities.
