Middle School Musical Set Director
The Shenandoah Community School District is seeking a creative and organized Middle School Musical Set Director for the school year. This individual will be responsible for the design, construction, and management of all scenic elements for the Middle School musical production. This is an excellent opportunity to mentor students in the technical aspects of theater while bringing a stage production to life.

Responsibilities
- Set Design & Construction: Collaborate with the Musical Director to design a functional and safe set that aligns with the artistic vision of the production.
- Student Mentorship: Supervise and train student "stage crew" members in the safe use of tools, painting techniques, and set assembly.
- Budget Management: Manage the budget for lumber, paint, hardware, and props.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all set pieces meet safety standards for student performers and crew.
- Strike: Oversee the organized teardown and storage/disposal of set pieces following the final performance.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in theatrical set design or construction preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with middle school-aged students.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of basic power tools and construction safety.
