We are looking for a forward-thinking AI Short Drama Screenwriter to join our in-house creative team.
This role goes beyond traditional screenwriting. You will be responsible for identifying high-potential source material (micro-dramas, web novels, games, or original concepts) and transforming it into high-retention, platform-optimized scripts designed for AI-produced short-form content.
We are looking for creators who are open-minded, highly adaptable, and excited about the future of AI-native storytelling — writers who can think structurally, move fast, and design content that scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze Chinese and international vertical micro dramas / short-form content to deeply understand pacing, structure, and audience psychology
- Identify and adapt high-potential IP (micro dramas, web novels, games, or original ideas) into addictive, serialized short-form scripts
- Design high-retention storytelling mechanics, including hooks, cliffhangers, and emotional beats tailored for short video platforms
- Work closely with AI production teams to ensure scripts are scalable, visually executable, and commercially viable
- Continuously explore new storytelling formats enabled by AI-generated characters, worlds, and narratives
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in short-form content screenwriting, web novels, or game writing
- Strong instinct for fast-paced storytelling, episodic structure, and cliffhanger design
- Deep understanding of short-form content dynamics and audience engagement psychology
- Comfortable writing romance, drama, and emotionally intense narratives
- High openness to AI — enthusiastic about AI tools and workflows
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-evolving creative and technological environment
- Strong analytical thinking — able to balance data-driven insights with creative judgment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Self-driven, curious, and motivated to push creative boundaries
- Bilingual in English and Chinese/Spanish is a strong plus (but not required)
