Job Description

As a key member of the Customer Engagement Planning & Measurement team , the Associate Director role will lead omnichannel go‑to‑market efforts and collaborate with analytic professionals, media, creative and analytics agency partners.

Role Overview

This position, commonly referred to as the Customer Engagement Architect (CEA) , focuses on developing and executing integrated promotional plans across HCP and consumer channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and develop promotional HCP & consumer activation and engagement strategic go‑to‑market plans.
  • Improve ability to Go‑to‑Market and engage customers in a timely, relevant way.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including Marketing, Promotions, Market Research, Analytics, agencies/consultants, and the broader U.S. enterprise.
  • Utilize business strategy and customer insights to identify digital channel opportunities.
  • Develop omnichannel go‑to‑market strategy and design longitudinal customer engagement plans to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Leverage brand segmentation and customer insights to develop digital go‑to‑market segments.
  • Define channel, media, and third‑party digital partnership choices aligned to strategic priorities and behavioral/communication objectives to drive business impact.
  • Design Customer Engagement Journeys to deploy omnichannel campaigns and support differentiated content needs.
  • Analyze customer‑level engagement data across channels to inform opportunities and choices.
  • Utilize self‑service media analytics tools and perform analyses of customer level engagement data across channels.
  • Develop test‑and‑learn agendas with defined measurement plans.
  • Monitor performance versus objectives to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Partner with internal and external teams to uncover data‑driven insights via ad hoc and/or advanced analytics.
  • Deliver performance updates through storytelling anchored in strategy to partners on a regular cadence.
  • Support the installation of non‑personal engagement best practices across the department to improve customer experience.

Required Experience & Skillset

  • Minimum of seven (7) years omnichannel marketing and digital media experience, including HCP and/or consumer campaigns.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing fundamentals and ability to align strategy to tactical campaign design across customer, channel, content, cadence.
  • Analytical acumen: synthesize large data sets, conduct segmentation analysis, monitor campaign progress, and identify intervention points.
  • Change‑management skills and ability to set priorities, timelines, and leverage resources.
  • Adaptability and ability to maintain effectiveness during major changes.
  • Ability to lead complex projects with a detail‑oriented approach.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex concepts to broad audiences.
  • Experience with customer marketing capability tools.
  • Innovative mindset with affinity for experimentation and appropriate risk taking.
  • Ability to manage additional digital media responsibilities within the group as needed.

Preferred Experience & Skillset

  • 5 years of experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, over‑the‑counter medicines, or other regulated industry.
  • Experience with advanced marketing capabilities (marketing automation, campaign management, analytics platforms, sales force tools, digital/AI recommendation engines).
  • Experience with Agile Team methodology.Understanding of compliance‑related concepts governing pharmaceutical marketing and sales activities.

BA/BS degree required.

Benefits and Compensation

The salary range for this role is $142,400.00 – $224,100.00. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual bonus and long‑term incentive, if applicable. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, and compassionate/sick days.
