Job Summary
- Theatre experience at the collegiate or professional level
- Directing experience, especially with youth theatre
- Ability to choose a high school level appropriate play that will fit within technical budget/constraints
- Able to run fair, efficient auditions
- Cast a show in a timely and professional manner
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and school staff
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Coordinate parents/volunteers to organize costumes, props, publicity, program, student matinees, cast party
- Create a calendar for rehearsals/performances
- Direct organized and timely rehearsals
- Technical theatre knowledge to communicate effectively with technical crew
