Position Overview
The Cotsakos College of Business (CCOB) at William Paterson University (WP) seeks a Director for the Russ Berrie Institute for Professional Sales (RBI). The Director reports directly to the Dean of the CCOB and works closely with the Chair and faculty of the Department of Management, Marketing and Professional Sales, the college, and the Director of the WP Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to facilitate revenue generation, grant/contract funding, and community engagement to advance the college’s strategic priorities and mission.
Part‑time position with an hourly rate of $65.00. The role supports a remote‑friendly hybrid work schedule.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the RBI in developing and increasing strategic corporate sponsorships and with corporate outreach and engagement to establish and strengthen partnerships that enhance experiential learning opportunities for students.
- Lead the planning, development and successful implementation of the RBI’s co‑curricular educational programs including the National Sales Challenge Competition, Sales Triathlon Competition and the Sales Career Fair.
- Lead research for funding sources and assist with the development of funding proposals to increase the resources of the RBI.
- Lead and coordinate coaching for CCOB Professional Sales competition teams.
- Coordinate with the academic departments to help develop and promote new and existing programs and services.
- Work with the Dean’s Office and the Chair of the Department of Management, Marketing and Professional Sales to create an Advisory Council for the RBI.
- Lead efforts to build relationships with universities and with K‑12 schools.
- Work with the Chair of MMPS to coordinate the involvement of Sales/Marketing faculty members in the RBI programs.
- Other related duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years of work experience in B2B Sales and/or Sales Management.
- Evidence of a significant network of business contacts or potential to develop such a network.
- A master’s degree in a related field.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interacting with diverse stakeholders including students, faculty, donors, industry, and community members and organizations.
- Demonstrated strong project management skills.
