Are you ready to take your marketing skills to the next level? CDM Smith is looking for a dynamic Lead Marketing & Proposal Specialist to spearhead the development of strategic, client-focused proposals and presentations. In this engaging role, you will collaborate with diverse teams to create compelling content that showcases our unique approach and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and implement strategies for marketing and business development within the firm's West Central Region.
- Develop, write, edit, and proofread content for complex proposals, presentations, resumes, project descriptions, and marketing materials targeting our municipal water and environmental clients.
- Utilize creativity and strategic vision to lead brainstorming sessions, storyboarding, and strategy development discussions.
- Maintain and update information in the CDM Smith firmwide database of resumes, project descriptions, and qualifications.
- Contribute to the CDM Smith marketing discipline group by participating on task forces and committees as opportunities arise.
- Enhance business development, marketing, facilitation, and writing skills through internal and external training and association involvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 6 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required, dependent on specific duties and responsibilities.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.A. or B.S. in Communications, English, Business, Journalism, or a related field.
- Experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction firm.
- Proficiency in MS Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, and SharePoint applications, with advanced skills in Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively coordinate projects with remote team members.
- Experience in editing/proofreading narratives written by technical professionals.
- Practical experience in facilitating group strategy and proposal development.
- Capacity to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple assignments.
- Knowledge of business development/marketing process models (e.g., Dag Knudsen, Miller-Heiman, Shipley).
- Strong command of grammar, AP Style Manual, and spelling.
