Description

  • Formulate and coordinate multi‑channel marketing activities and campaigns to promote the organization’s mission, to enhance donor engagement, and articulate the organization’s story.
  • Gather photo, video, or testimonial content, create engaging assets and strategically deploy assets to create a comprehensive story of the organization’s work and impact.
  • Create presentation, pitch decks, and core assets for stakeholder distribution and communications.
  • Manage regular maintenance and updates for the organization’s website, including events, organizational announcements, listing updates, news/blog, and photos, and make decisions on content updates and prioritization.
  • Support execution of events to promote the organization’s mission and document to support storytelling of community engagement.
  • Own effective communications with media outlets, serving as the primary point of contact, preparing press releases, and coaching the organization’s spokesperson on effective media engagement.
  • Protect and enhance the organization’s brand identity across all internal and external communication channels by creating accessible and organized communications and asset records.
  • Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, optimize accordingly, and develop campaign performance reports.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

  • Director of Relationships and Giving

Employment Status & Schedule

Full‑Time, 40 hours/week 1st Shift: 8am–5pm, with some flexibility. May work occasional evenings or weekends for special events.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • 3+ years of professional experience in marketing, advertising, graphic design, communications, content strategy, or public relations, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Proven success in developing marketing plans and campaigns from concept to completion.
  • Strong writing and editorial skills.
  • Proficient with social media management tools and email marketing platforms.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced computer skills, MS Suite, and editing software program(s).
  • Knowledge of best practices and industry standards.
  • Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and problem‑solve.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries, engagement skills, de‑escalation, and conflict mediation with a challenging population or in a stressful environment.
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to be insured by our carrier.
  • Reliable transportation and attendance.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Summary

The Marketing & Communications Manager will manage the organization’s branding, marketing, and communication efforts. Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy based on knowledge of organizational objectives, market or donor characteristics, and cost‑to‑budget factors. The role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and a passion for the non‑profit sector. Additionally, the Marketing & Communications Manager must engage others with compassion and dignity.
