New York
A growing real estate investment firm based in New York is seeking a Vice President of Capital Markets to support the raise of its second discretionary fund. The firm invests across core and value‑add strategies with a focus on multifamily, office, industrial, and student housing assets in major U.S. markets.
This role will work closely with the firm’s Capital Markets / Investor Relations Partner, who is leading the Fund II raise. The successful candidate will play an active role in fundraising execution, investor engagement, and capital strategy, with a clear opportunity to take on increased responsibility, visibility, and leadership over time.
The position is well suited to an Associate or Senior Associate with direct fundraising and LP exposure who is ready to step into a Vice President role and build a long‑term career within a growing investment platform.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting the fundraising process for Fund II, including outreach, diligence coordination, and investor communications.
- Leveraging existing relationships with family offices, institutional LPs, and other capital partners.
- Participating in meetings, presentations, and negotiations with prospective and existing investors.
- Assisting with the development of fundraising materials, data rooms, and investor reporting.
- Partnering with senior leadership to help shape and articulate the firm’s long‑term investment thesis and growth strategy.
- Gradually assuming greater ownership of capital markets and investor relationships as Fund II progresses and future vehicles are planned.
The successful candidate will bring
- Experience in capital markets, fundraising, or investor relations within real estate private equity or a related investment platform.
- Meaningful exposure to family offices, LPs, and institutional investors.
- Strong communication skills and comfort representing an investment firm to external stakeholders.
- Intellectual curiosity around portfolio construction, asset strategy, and investment themes.
- Ambition to grow into a senior capital markets leader over time, with increasing strategic input.
This is a rare opportunity for a high‑potential fundraising professional to step up into a Vice President role, work directly alongside ownership, and help shape the capital formation and strategic direction of a growing real estate investment firm.
