The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Engineer - Web Development Platform to join Adobe Express. This role is key in establishing the infrastructure for Adobe's web applications and collaborating with an experienced team to develop scalable systems for innovative features.

What you'll Do

  • Design and develop the infrastructure and foundational architecture for Adobe Express and related web applications.
  • Collaborate with multi‑functional teams to build features spanning diverse domains, including multimedia, AI, and real‑time collaboration.
  • Implement scalable and efficient solutions using TypeScript and C++ as the primary language.
  • Develop and optimize systems for distributed environments, real‑time collaboration, and multimedia applications.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the platform by leveraging technologies such as WebComponents, WebAPIs, Node.js, and more.

What you need to succeed

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field, or five years of industry experience.
  • Advanced expertise in TypeScript or JavaScript; understanding of C++ and Python is a plus.
  • Proficiency in tools and platforms such as VSCode, Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub, Bazel.
  • Understanding of WebComponents, WebAPIs, plus Node.js, WASM.
  • Proven ability to architect and implement scalable, efficient systems in collaboration with large teams.

Preferred Experience

  • Distributed systems and real‑time collaboration.
  • Client‑side Web development.
  • AI – large language models (LLMs) and generative AI.
  • Photographic, multimedia, or page layout applications.
  • Animation and visual effects.

Expected Pay Range

U.S. pay range for this position: $139,000 – $257,550 annually. In California: $177,900 – $257,550. In Washington: $161,700 – $234,150. Pay may vary by location and depend on experience and skills.
