Parent Relations Director, Alpha - $200,000/year USD

Crossover · San Diego, CA, USA ·

Pay:
$100 per hour
Job type:
Contract

Location & Compensation

Full‑time position, salary $200,000 per year (equivalent to $100 per hour). On‑site locations: Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, La Jolla, Los Angeles (South Bay). Benefits include health, vision, dental, 401k, PTO, and more.

About the Role

You will anchor trust with families, serving as their primary point of contact for any uncertainties, providing counsel, and sustaining long‑term relationships across five California locations. The position requires daily hands‑on AI use, fluency in discussing AI, and discretion with ultra‑high‑net‑worth families.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Take ownership of every family relationship on campus, cultivating trust that deepens over time.
  • Identify issues before they arise and address them with care, urgency, and thoughtful judgment.
  • Be visibly present during critical touchpoints: morning arrival, afternoon departure, and intentionally designed parent gatherings.
  • Facilitate ongoing substantive dialogue about Alpha’s AI‑centered approach.
  • Create and iterate community programming that fosters connection, endorsement, and word‑of‑mouth growth.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Overseeing admissions pipelines or recruitment goals—your work starts once families enroll.
  • Working primarily from a desk or relying solely on written communication—this demands physical presence.
  • Using templated responses or avoiding difficult conversations about AI or pedagogy.
  • Depending on established protocols—you will create structure in areas that lack it.
  • Viewing families as transactional relationships—this role values discernment over task execution.
