Stay safe and protect your personal information.Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, the Director, Marketing, plays a key role in elevating the organization’s brand, strengthening stakeholder relationships, and managing the company’s participation in industry trade shows and events. The role blends strategic marketing responsibilities with hands on event coordination, requiring a candidate who is both creative and operationally strong. A critical component of the position is the ability to navigate government agency structures to identify and engage the appropriate contacts, ensuring the right stakeholders are invited and represented at company events. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate organizational goals into effective marketing and engagement strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & CommunicationsDevelop and implement marketing strategies that support organizational goals, employee engagement, and brand visibilityManage marketing collateral for growth initiatives and campaignsOversee digital channels, including website updates, social media content, and email campaignsMaintain brand consistency across all communication materials and organizational touchpointsTrack and analyze marketing performance metrics to inform future strategiesSupport corporate communications as neededEvent Planning & ExecutionLead the planning, logistics, and execution of events, including stakeholder meetings, community events, and special initiativesManage event timelines, budgets, vendors, venues, catering, and onsite coordinationDevelop event materials such as agendas, signage, presentations, and attendee communicationsEnsure events reflect organizational values, messaging, and strategic prioritiesConduct post‑event evaluations to measure impact and identify opportunities for improvementGovernment & Stakeholder EngagementIdentify and map the appropriate contacts within government agencies with support from Growth team membersEnsure invitations reach the correct officials, program leads, and subject‑matter expertsBuild and maintain relationships with agency representatives and other external partners to support ongoing collaboration and event participationCoordinate attendance, speaking roles, and engagement opportunities for government and community stakeholdersServe as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and smooth communicationCross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with leadership, HR, operations, and program teams to align marketing and event initiatives with organizational needsProvide guidance on branding, messaging, and communication best practices across departmentsAssist with special projects and organizational initiatives as neededQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum of ten years of experience in marketing, events management, communications, or a related role; applicable experience within federal contracting or governmental agency preferredDemonstrated ability to navigate government agency structures and federal customer hierarchies and identify appropriate personnel for event participation and targeted communicationsStrong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience coordinating events of varying sizes and complexityAbility to successfully assemble displays, set up tables, arrange materials, and/or operate event equipmentProficiency with marketing tools and platforms (email marketing, social media, CRM systems, design tools, etc.), MS Office suite, SharePoint, and AdobeStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse groupsHighly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environmentStrong understanding of compliance, budget controls, and outcome-driven marketingHighly organized, analytical, and able to operate independently with full accountabilityAbility to use standard office and event equipmentAbility to travel up to 50% to events and/or customer locations with a varying amount of noticePhysical RequirementsWork is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment or within event/conference locationsWork involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of timeAbility to bend, stoop, reach, and crouch when setting up materials, signage or equipmentAbility to lift thirty (30) pounds, such as boxes of materials, signage, equipment, and/or suppliesAcuity International is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
