Position Summary
Next Generation Ministry Choir Director – Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Dr, Culpeper, VA 22701.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a vibrant choral choir for children and youth ranging from preschool through high school.
- Collaborate with the Director of Next Generation Ministry to plan and lead age‑appropriate choir rehearsals and performances for seasonal programming.
- Direct multiple age‑level groups, selecting appropriate music and ensuring rehearsals are fun, engaging and faith‑centered.
- Prepare students for performances, including Christmas, Palm Sunday, and after Vacation Bible School (VBS) events.
- Foster a faith‑centered environment for young participants and help them grow in their spiritual lives.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay range: begins at $20/hour.
Part‑time: 5–8 hours per week, 18–20 weeks per year on location in Culpeper, VA.
