Overview
Director, Social Media – Joined our Media+Influence team to lead social media strategy, planning, content development (concept & copy), and community management for clients, with a particular focus on B2B social.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing strategic counsel for various clients in B2B, consumer, non‑profit, and government sectors.
- Develop and implement social media strategy and manage day‑to‑day social media channels, including organic and paid tactics for Allison clients.
- Concept and write social content based on annual strategy, objectives, and messaging/tone guidelines. Partner closely with in‑house designers and video editors on production needs.
- Oversee community management for client social media channels, monitor online conversations, and offer strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with and brief in‑house creatives on client social content needs; identify, contract, and brief third‑party content creators to produce social content for client brand channels.
- Measure the success of social media initiatives and provide recommendations for adjustments.
- Maintain regular client contact, both verbal and written, to develop a trusted relationship and serve as a strategic partner to clients and internal teams.
- Forecast budgets, track project utilization, and provide invoice details.
- Work with account teams to develop big‑picture skills in strategic planning and client development.
- Supervise junior team members and contribute to their development and growth.
- Promote and uphold Allison’s core values.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in social media, marketing, or a related field at a brand or agency.
- Strong preference for experience in social media marketing for B2B brands.
- In‑depth knowledge of major social media platforms and the ability to articulate their value proposition clearly.
- Past experience managing paid social campaigns, including boosting organic content.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to manage expectations, objectives, and turnaround times.
- Strategic and creative thinking; ability to build innovative strategies to achieve objectives.
- Strong writing and presentation skills with attention to detail.
- Proven track record in supporting organic growth and business development.
- Prior management of direct reports is preferred.
- Ability to manage expectations appropriately and effectively.

Compensation
In accordance with equal pay and salary transparency laws, the target base compensation range for this role in all U.S. locations is $100,000–$150,000. Actual compensation is influenced by skills, experience, and location.
