Role Overview
Under the direction of the Managing Director of Strategy and Operations, the Manager of Enrollment, Marketing & Communications will lead the effort to ensure the schools in the region are fully enrolled. The Manager of Enrollment, Marketing, and Communications leads the strategy and execution of scholar recruitment, retention, family engagement, and district-wide communications. This role ensures schools are fully enrolled while building a strong, consistent brand that engages families, staff, and the broader community.
This position owns the full family experience, from initial awareness through enrollment and retention, while also shaping how Momentum Academy tells its story internally and externally.
Enrollment Strategy & Execution
- Lead scholar recruitment and enrollment efforts to meet regional enrollment goals
- Guide families through the admissions process, ensuring a positive, clear, and engaging experience
- Manage the full enrollment pipeline, including applications, lottery, waitlist, and onboarding
- Maintain enrollment systems, data tracking, and reporting (e.g., Infinite Campus, enrollment dashboards)
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local enrollment requirements
- Maintain working knowledge of state enrollment requirements and ensure that LEA enrollment procedures, plans, policies, and practices are in alignment with state, federal, and local requirements
- Partner with school leaders to drive conversion at each stage of the enrollment funnel
- Create an outstanding experience for current and prospective parents
- Plan and execute all recruitment & retention events for current and prospective families that bring to life the unique identity of the school in an engaging way
Family Engagement & Retention
- Develop and execute annual recruitment and retention plans
- Lead re-enrollment strategy and processes to maximize scholar retention in partnership with school teams
- Lead the strategy and execution of meaningful touchpoints with families throughout the year (events, communications, outreach)
- Build systems that strengthen family trust, advocacy, and long-term engagement
- Work closely with school leadership and teams to ensure retention of scholars and family engagement strategies
Marketing & Brand Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned to brand awareness and enrollment and talent recruitment goals
- Oversee brand consistency across all platforms, materials, and campaigns
- Create and manage marketing content across digital, social, and print channels
- Maintain and execute a social media calendar across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Coordinate photography, video, and storytelling to highlight scholar and school experiences
Communications & Public Relations
- Lead internal and external communications strategy for Momentum Academy
- Develop and distribute key communications (newsletters, emails, presentations, media releases)
- Manage the district website and mass communication systems
- Build relationships with media and community partners to elevate Momentum’s visibility
- Support leadership with messaging, storytelling, and crisis communications as needed
- Lead community relations and partnership development
Data, Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze enrollment, retention, and engagement data to inform strategy
- Maintain dashboards and reporting tools for leadership and stakeholders
- Identify trends and adjust strategies to improve enrollment and scholar retention outcomes and brand reach
- Support strategic planning initiatives aligned to enrollment and communications priorities
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (communications, marketing, public relations, education, or related field preferred)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in enrollment, marketing, communications, or related field
- Experience working in schools or with families in urban communities preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CRM systems, social media platforms, and content management systems
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, Google products, knowledge of school-based software systems preferred
Compensation
- Salary begins at $61,231 and increases with year(s) of experience.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Preferred Start Date is July 1, 2026
- 12 month position with school breaks (i.e. two-week winter break, one-week spring break, one-week Thanksgiving break, two care breaks, and most federal holidays) and 15 additional days of PTO
