Marketing and Content Manager (based in Washington, DC)

Position based in Washington, D.C. Executive Office.

Occasional travel to Napa Institute events or meetings outside the D.C. area may be required. Flexibility for evening or weekend hours during major events or special projects.

Position Summary

The Napa Institute seeks a mission-driven, creative, and highly organized Marketing and Content Manager to advance our mission of equipping leaders and organizations at the intersection of faith, freedom, and the public square. The Marketing and Content Manager will expand the Institute’s reach, strengthen its voice, and increase engagement across all platforms. This role combines strategic content leadership with hands‑on marketing execution to ensure cohesive messaging, strong brand presence, and measurable audience growth.

What You Will Accomplish

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Napa team to develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with organizational mission and audience needs.
  • Oversee content production across podcasts, articles, video, email campaigns, and digital platforms.
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and brand alignment across all content outputs.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts, leadership, and external partners to produce compelling, mission-driven content.
  • Manage editorial calendars and content workflows from ideation through publication.

Marketing & Communications

  • Lead execution of marketing initiatives to increase visibility, engagement, and audience growth.
  • Design and produce high-quality marketing collateral including digital ads, graphics, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Oversee social media strategy, including content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking.
  • Produce and edit short-form and long-form video content for digital platforms.
  • Execute and optimize email marketing campaigns, including segmentation and performance tracking.
  • Maintain and update website and blog content using SEO best practices.
  • Ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all communication channels.

Digital Content & Media Promotion

  • Manage promotion and distribution of podcasts and media initiatives.
  • Create promotional assets including graphics, video clips, and highlight reels.
  • Track engagement metrics and optimize strategies to increase reach and impact.

Program Communications & Support

  • Support communication and promotion of Napa Legal Institute programs (CLEs, All Access program, Faith and Freedom Index, podcasts, and related initiatives).
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to amplify program visibility and participation.
  • Maintain program-related content on websites and digital platforms.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with leadership, development, and external partners to align messaging and outreach.
  • Support relationships with apostolates, partners, and collaborators through strategic communication initiatives.

What You Will Bring

Qualifications - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing, content strategy, or digital communications.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools.
  • Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Alignment with and commitment to the mission of the Napa Institute.

Qualifications - Preferred

  • Experience in nonprofit, faith-based, or mission-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with SEO, analytics platforms, and content management systems.
  • Experience working with podcasts and multimedia content.
  • Understanding of Catholic apostolates and networks.
