Senior Director, Growth and Lifecycle Marketing
We're hiring a Senior Director of Growth & Lifecycle — a strategic, fast‑paced, hands‑on leader who will own the full customer journey from first touchpoint to long‑term retention. This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing, creator‑driven growth, and lifecycle strategy — connecting every acquisition channel with the retention engine that drives real, sustainable LTV.
You’ll oversee Paid Media, Podcast, Affiliate, Influencer, Content, OOH, OTT, Email, and SMS — and you won’t just manage them. You’ll integrate them into a seamless, data‑driven growth system.
Hybrid position: 4 days per week in our Los Angeles office; remote on Friday.
What You'll Do
- Build and execute a comprehensive full‑funnel growth strategy spanning acquisition, lifecycle, and retention marketing, directly aligned to company objectives and long‑term business growth.
- Own and scale Affiliate programs, including partner strategy, commission structures, incrementality tracking, and performance optimization.
- Lead Influencer & Creator Marketing from end‑to‑end — program design, sourcing, contracting, relationship management, and performance measurement.
- Drive Content strategy that fuels both top‑of‑funnel acquisition and deeper customer engagement across the customer lifecycle.
- Own Lifecycle Marketing strategy across email, SMS, onboarding, customer journey orchestration, retention, loyalty, and reactivation programs.
- Manage and integrate marketing channels across Paid Media, Affiliate, Podcast, OOH, OTT, Email, SMS, and emerging growth channels to create cohesive, data‑driven customer experiences.
- Own and optimize a multi‑million dollar Growth and Retention/CRM budget with a strong focus on CAC, LTV, retention, incrementality, and overall ROI.
- Implement and scale rigorous testing frameworks — including A/B, lift, incrementality, and multivariate testing — across acquisition and lifecycle channels to continuously improve performance.
- Analyze campaign, channel, and customer data to identify growth opportunities, optimize funnel performance, and drive measurable business impact.
- Partner cross‑functionally with Product, CX, EDP, Finance, and Creative teams to deliver seamless, customer‑centric experiences across every touchpoint.
- Collaborate closely with Creative teams to develop high‑performing briefs and campaigns informed by acquisition, retention, and customer behavior insights.
- Oversee external agencies, vendors, and strategic partners to ensure strong execution, operational excellence, and scalable growth across all marketing functions.
- Lead and mentor a high‑performing team across acquisition, performance marketing, and lifecycle/CRM functions, fostering a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous optimization.
- Deliver regular reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership on growth, retention, lifecycle performance, and overall marketing effectiveness.
What You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in growth and lifecycle marketing, ideally within a DTC environment.
- Proven success managing both acquisition and retention channels, including Paid Media, Email, SMS, and Affiliate (Podcast, OOH, OTT a plus).
- Experience in DTC subscription or membership models.
- Familiarity with advanced lifecycle tools and personalization strategies.
- Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Segment, Iterable, Looker, Asana, Bazaarvoice, and Channable.
- Strong track record of managing and optimizing multi‑million dollar media budgets with a data‑driven approach.
- Deep understanding of customer lifecycle metrics (LTV, CAC, retention, churn, cohort analysis).
- Experience with attribution and measurement frameworks, with a thoughtful perspective on incrementality and multi‑touch attribution.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Results‑oriented mindset with a passion for driving scalable, sustainable growth.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range $175,000 – $200,000, plus target annual bonus, equity, and benefits.
- Generous parental leave, 401(k) plan, comprehensive health benefits, open time off.
- Hybrid work setup with on‑site amenities and remote option.
