JobSummary: Paper Source is hiring a West Coast Regional Manager. This role supports the western region and should be based in Los Angeles or San Francisco area. A Regional Manager for Paper Source Stores is responsible for leading a region and areas that consistently build high performing teams, deliver best in class experience, and drive operational excellence to achieve profitable results in their stores.

What You Do
- Drive overall company sales results and profitability through successful leadership, team development, customer engagement, and outstanding execution of all field strategies.
- Understand and support all company initiatives, working proactively with Field Leadership and Home Office partners on feedback, obstacles, decisions, and resolutions to improve the business and customer experience in all stores.
- Hold people accountable to perform their job functions and achieve expected results.
- Foster a positive workplace that promotes a healthy working environment, a cohesive team, and an open door culture.
- Act as a brand ambassador and talent scout to recruit and network in advance of regional needs.
- Assemble a talented group of leaders, spanning multiple levels, with diverse skillsets that reinforce and advance company values.
- Create strategic regional talent plans that are focused on assessment, development, succession planning, and store alignment.
- Develop excellent Area Managers who drive a best-in-class customer experience to exceed all sales goals, contributing to the company’s profitability.
- Foster a performance culture to build high performing teams through a focus on coaching, specific feedback, and timely follow up.
- Lead by example – inspire, motivate, educate and mentor.
- Ensure consistent execution of selling strategies and visual standards throughout the region to deliver the brand’s experience and reduce variability.
- Analyze sales results to identify opportunities for growth and take action to improve sales and profitability.
- Collaborate with peers, Area Managers, and support partners in ongoing, actionable dialogue to assess stores and identify solutions to resolve issues with a sense of urgency to achieve company priorities.
- Ensure operational policies and procedures are effectively implemented and maintained to achieve organizational consistency and efficiency throughout the stores.
- Communicate with clarity, conciseness, and urgency, in all formats and audiences.
- Be a fair and consistent leader partnering with HR when extraordinary issues arise with people.
- Uses remote working technology (Teams, Outlook 365, SharePoint etc.) to support the above.
Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years of retail experience with a minimum of 3 years managing multi-unit specialty retail is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong business acumen paired with the ability to adjust actions to achieve results.
- Results driven – achieves through thoughtful and effective remote management.
- The capacity to drive significant initiatives alongside building a motivated and high performing team.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Inspiring interpersonal effectiveness to lead team, train talent and effect change.
- Track record of building talent and achieving results.
- A solution orientated style to deliver in a fast-paced culture and have persuasive skills to influence others.
- Manage ambiguity by operating effectively and with urgency.
- Able to plan and prioritize in the short and medium term, while maintaining flexibility.
- Capability to effectively assess when to lead remotely vs in person.
- Able to balance the need of delivering a creative experience along with a profitable result.
- Travel will be required, for approx.: 50% of time.
An employee in this position can expect an annual salary starting at $100,000 and up to $155,000.00 depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law.
