The Maries R-1 School District is looking for a highly motivated person to teach music/band 6-12. This position will teach 6-12 band as well as music electives.

Responsibilities
- Creating and implementing highly engaging lessons daily.
- Assessing the learning of students by utilizing formal and informal assessment strategies.
- Use assessment and observational data to develop and implement strategies to improve student learning.
- Supervising students in and out of the classroom.
- Build interpersonal relationships with peers to become part of a team that places a high priority on student achievement and well-being.
Qualifications
- BS Degree.
- Missouri Teaching Certificate or the ability to get certification through Missouri DESE.
- Background in vocal/instrumental music.
- Experience working with young adults.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ability to pass a Missouri Highway Patrol background check.
- US Citizen or Green Card holder.
