You will oversee the complete enrollment experience for a campus—from initial inquiry to final onboarding. This is not a role where work is passed between departments. You are accountable for how families perceive us, how well they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed discussions, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize numbers. The objective is to ensure fit.

This is a salaried, full‑time, on‑site position. We are currently hiring in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, and South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Overseeing the complete enrollment pathway for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and continuing through onboarding.
  • Facilitating discovery conversations to evaluate compatibility before proposing solutions or advising on next actions.
  • Coordinating 20+ concurrent family engagements across varying enrollment phases, with transparent tracking of progress and scheduled touchpoints.
  • Directing campus visits, student shadow sessions, and enrollment dialogues that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the profile of families best suited to the model.
  • Updating CRM platforms and student information systems (HubSpot and SIS) to ensure data accuracy for pipeline forecasting, prioritization, and service consistency.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Applying transactional sales methods or high‑pressure enrollment strategies.
  • Accepting families who do not align with the model solely to meet enrollment targets.
  • Supervising a sizable staff or working through complex hierarchical structures.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family experience across multiple team members.
  • Operating remotely. This position requires on‑campus presence by design.

Client Experience Director Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver a trust‑based, selective enrollment process that secures aligned families while safeguarding the quality and effectiveness of the Alpha model.

Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years providing high‑caliber, individualized service in settings where quality of experience directly influences brand standing (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium memberships, or owner‑managed services).
  • Proven responsibility for managing a complete client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle from initial engagement through onboarding.
  • Experience handling 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family interactions at various stages, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization method.
  • Capacity to share specific instances of advisory decision‑making, including occasions when you recommended against your own offering because it was unsuitable.
  • Professional‑level written correspondence experience with senior leaders, high‑net‑worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these regions: La Jolla, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Marin County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; or South Bay, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice‑to‑have Requirements

  • Experience with admissions in selective independent schools or enrollment in competitive programs.
  • Background in upscale hospitality, VIP client services, or executive‑level administrative roles.
  • Experience designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Ability to leverage data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment alignment, not merely efficiency.

Working with us

This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
