Job Summary

Design and develop cutting‑edge digital signal processing (DSP) IP focusing on audio applications. Work on various projects such as hardware DSP IP design, low‑power digital CODEC and audio subsystem development, audio peripheral device development, and integration into System‑on‑Chip (SoC) architectures.
Preferred Qualifications

Strong background in digital signal or mixed‑signal processing, including PCM and PDM domain filter design.
Experience with high‑level synthesis tools and SystemC.
Experience with Matlab, Python, and C/C++.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Design systems‑level hardware to implement DSP functionality; identify power constraints and trade‑offs, and propose innovative solutions.
Contribute to technical conversations and documentation (white papers, schematics, FDD, HLDR); escalates complex technical issues to appropriate contacts.
Participate in design reviews for subsystem development; define design constraints and identify solutions to meet design targets.
Collaborate with peers to design products that meet customer requirements and standards.
Develop test environments and test cases to verify designs; evaluate results, validate hardware against specifications, define test plans, record and present findings.
Use appropriate tools (Matlab, Adobe Audition) and equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer) for analyzing hardware designs.
Complete complex tasks and solve issues through analysis of system‑model simulation data.
Develop or adapt complex DSP algorithms and models aligned with product proposals or roadmaps.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related experience.
Master’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related experience.
Ph.D. in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Works in the lab, can use hazardous chemicals (e.g., glue, machinery).

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range:

$122,500.00 – $183,700.00.
Salary is one component of total compensation. Qualcomm offers a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants. Benefits package supports success at work, at home, and at play.
